How fat help in weight loss?

Today we will talk about fat and why they are really important for your body. First, fats provide our bodies with energy and protect vital organs. In addition fats are important to enhance fat-soluble vitamins absorption A, D, E, and K.


Fats need more time to be digested so they are full filling food. In addition, once you eliminate fat from your diet your metabolism will slow down.


The key is to choose health fats over unhealthy ones. They are four main types of dietary fats: mono-unsaturated and poly-unsaturated (the "good" fats) and saturated and trans-fats. Bad fats increase LDL and thus risk for cardiovascular disease. So you have to be cautious about treating yourself to things like cookies, ice cream, chips, fried food, high-fat dairy products, and red meat.


Portion size control is another point as you can overdo from healthy fats like avocado, nuts, and fatty fish and then you will gain weight.

Having well balanced diet is really important to reach your goals and lose weight.
