Why you should not cut carbs from your diet

They boost your energy:

Carbohydrates are energy boosting food so you can’t remove them from your diet. Carbs like beans, lentils and chickpeas are energy-lasting carbs in addition they provide good source of protein which is important for muscle growth and repair.

Moreover, some vegetables are like superfoods as they can help to promote a healthy gut.


Science says you shouldn't

Science has proven that you cannot exclude carbs from your diet as eating grains (wholegrains in particular) has been linked to a longer life, as well as a reduced risk of heart disease, diabetes and even cancer.

You should concentrate on the type of carbs and choose complex over refined.


They are part of a balanced diet

Carbs are essential part in balanced diet even they have more calories than other food groups. Food like milk, yoghurt and cheese are rich in protein and calcium - which is crucial for strong bones and teeth.


We need immune-supporting fruits

Fruits are loaded with antioxidant and natural sugar: fructose. Variety of fruits is needed to maximize their nutritional effect. Add two-three servings daily of fruits to have a balanced diet.


Potatoes are nutritionally necessary

Starchy vegetables like potatoes and corn are loaded with nutrients and they should never be excluded from the diet. You can have mashed or boiled potatoes as side dish. Potatoes are good source of fiber and promote healthy gut.
