10 Superfoods Women Should Eat
Super food are those with nutrients, vitamins, minerals and antioxidant..
When you choose food try to ensure food quality that gives you optimal nutrition; so today I will mention ten foods that are super food too especially for women.
Superfood #1: Broccoli:
These cruciferous veggies protects body against certain types of cancer like breast cancer due to a compound called sulforaphane .One .One cup of broccoli provides your body with a whopping 135% of your daily vitamin C needs.
Superfood #2: Beets Studies have been shown that drinking a glass of beet juice (otherwise known as beetroot) may immediately lower your blood pressure. As blood pressure can damage your arteries, which can lead to plaque build-up, heart disease, blood clots and strokes. In addition beets are rich n folate which is important in manufacturing new cells and prevent DNA damage.
Beet juice may also boost workout stamina by 16%, making exercise feel less tiring so you can go for longer, according to a study done in 2009. Certain chemicals in beets show effect in combatting cancer and inflammation.
Superfood #3: Turmeric Curcumin the compound that gives turmeric its great effect, studies have been shown that this spice is useful in treating conditions like inflammation, digestive problems, arthritis and Alzheimer’s.
Superfood #4: Sardines Sardines are a cheap and convenient way to fill up on fish oil, vitamin D and calcium all at once, In addition sardines are rich in selenium; an antioxidant, helps keep the immune system in fighting form and protects cells from damage. When you don’t like it you may replace sardine with tuna as it provides same effect.
Superfood #5: Kale Kale is part of the broccoli, or brassica, family. It is healthy for heart as it lower LDL and increase HDL. It is loaded with vitamin A, C and calcium. In addition it is rich in carotenoids: lutein and zeaxanthin that help preserve vision and prevent eyestrain, serious assets for those who stare at a computer screen all day.
Superfood #6: Blueberries They are rich in antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds; they lower the risk of heart disease, diabetes and arthritis and protect against mental decline.

they are loaded with the essential minerals folate, magnesium and iron and soluble fibre. They have 3 times the amount of omega three than other beans. In addition they contain cancer-fighting chemicals called flavonoids. They are good for weight management and blood sugar control.
Superfood #8: Tart Cherries Tart cherries are anti-inflammatory superstars and may be great for managing pain. In addition studies suggest suggests that tart cherries can help relieve arthritis and post-workout muscle soreness, lower cholesterol and possibly even reduce body fat. Moreover they have long been used to treat arthritis and gout symptoms
Superfood #9: Almonds they are rich in fibre, protein and prebiotic that ease the stomach problems like irritable bowel disorders and diarrhoea, and also boost calcium absorption. In addition almonds lower LDL cholesterol and they are packed in vitamin E, linked to a lower risk of heart disease, magnesium that regulates mood and decrease depression.
