Spinach vs. Kale: Is One Healthier?


Spinach and kale are both powerhouses of nutrition, associated with many impressive health benefits.


They belong to different family yet their are used interchangebly in recipes like in salad and soups even they have some similarities they have other differences.


Spinach and kale are both in low calories but they differ in their amount of fiber, vitamin K and C in addition to other micronutrients.

Potential Health Benefits

They are both powerful anitoxidant and they lower risk of heart disease and cancer, in addition they improve weight loss.


Spinach contains oxalate, which can prevent calcium absorption in your body and may contribute to kidney stone formation.


While in kale you need to cook it and to have adequate intake of iodine as it contains goitrin a compound that interfere with normal thyroid function.


Spinach provides more vitamin A and K while kale provides double amount of vitamin C.


Both are healthy and have nutritonal value and they should be included in your diet. The key it to have already well balanced diet that improve your over-all health not only improving your weight and help in weight loss
