Introduction:
You need to give small changes a little chance in your lifestyle as successful regimen only require small changes that become a part of your daily routine.
1. Take the stairs
While you are going to your work always aim to use stairs instead of elevator. Even you can choose walking instead of driving or using bus. Walking can really boost your metabolism.
2. Whole milk no more
If you are a big fan or drinker of milk aim to have 1-2% fat milk instead of whole to save up to 45 calories. If you are lactose intolerant choose free-lactose products.
3. Choose lean meats
Protein is very important as a part of weight loss strategy but always aim to choose lean cuts of meats as they contain less fat but still same amount of protein.
4. Choose your carbs carefully
Not all carbs are equal so you need to be mindful about your choices and always aim to choose complex carbs like whole grain and oats instead of white bread and simple sugars.
5. Don't eat from the bag
Don’t eat from bag or container always put the right portion in your plate and eat as your body really needs. Always remember make eating as single activity to prevent mindless eating like eating and watching T.V. for example
6. Start with soup or salad
Soup and salad are good entrees to be consumed before your main course, they are filled with fiber that improve satiety filling and reduce consumption of your big meal. Choose lentils or vegetables soups instead of creamy ones. Finally, aim to choose fat-free or calorie-free salad dressing.
7. Bring on the Produce
Fruit and vegetables are low in calories compared to desserts and rich in nutrients. Aim to fill your plate with colourful veggies and fruits as they can replace high fat meals.
8. Don't Drink Your Calories
Don’t drink calories as your brain cannot analyse calories from drinks as those from food. It is easy to get overconsumed with drinks. Replace sodas and carbonated beverages with water. If you don’t like water taste, try infused water with lemon.
