Raspberries are with different colours: red, purple, black, golden, and white. When it comes to red raspberries; they are among of the healthiest choices of fruit, and they taste delicious too. In addition, they are low in sugar, high in fiber, and packed with a variety of interesting compounds.
Red raspberries are excellent source of vitamin C and manganese.
Considering health benefits, studies have been shown improved endothelial function for up to 24 hours post consumption.
In addition, they have low glycaemic index and they are good option for diabetic patients.
Raspberries supply a high number of anthocyanin polyphenols, which may have several potential health benefits.
No studies were done to prove effect of raspberries on lowering inflammation while animal studies show this.
Finally, their intake may have a positive effect on the gut microbiome.
