Don’t Skip Meals

You should never skip meals as bile juices build up and raises cholesterol level and with time the waxy fats will turn into gallstones. Some bile acid will cause gallbladder cancer .So try to have regular meal time


Pick Whole Grains

Fiber are really important for normal digestion and lowering cholesterol level. Moreover, a high fiber meal can flushes bile outside the body which force your body to make a new bile thus lowering cholesterol level. Increase intake of whole grains, oatmeal and many fruits and vegetables to increase fiber intake.


Get to a Healthy Weight

Being overweight or obese increase your risk of gallstones especially if your weight is around your waist.

Load Up on Fruits and Veggies

Enjoy colourful fruits and vegetables that are packed with vitamin E and C that work as antioxidant and protect your body form diseases. Moreover, they are rich in fiber and water and help you in feeling full and thus losing weight.


Cut Back on Fried Foods

Fat are hard for digestion and they are loaded with saturated fatty acids and thus raise your cholesterol level moreover they are high in calories and lead to extra pounds gain.


Snack on Berries, Peppers, and Kiwi

They are loaded with vitamin C that work as antioxidant and lower risk of gallstones. Women should get 75 milligrams and men should get 90 milligrams a day. Good choices include strawberries, broccoli, cantaloupes, baked potato, and citrus fruits.


Avoid Crash Diets

Rapid weight loss can harm your gallbladder and increase your risk of gallstones. So try to lose 1-2 pounds per week for safe results.


Drink Lots of Water

Water help the gallbladder to empty and prevent build-up of bile acids thus preventing risk of gallstones. Moreover, water improve weight loss plans.

Should You Try a Cleanse?

They claim to prevent or treat gallstones if you skip foods for a few days and drink only a mix of olive oil, herbs, and juice. The idea is that this breaks up gallstones so you can pee them out. But research suggests that those stones are actually lumps of oil and juice. The cleanses also can cause side effects, such as stomach pain, nausea, and diarrhoea. So stay away.
