Bananas get a bad reputation unfortunately but what you really need to know is that bananas are very healthy rich in potassium which is iportant for electrolyte balance and soluble fiber for a good digestion. They naturally contain antacids and probiotics.

Myth #1: Bananas Make You Constipated

Many people ask if bananas are god source of soluble fiber so why are they causing constipation? Well! The answer depends on both timing and water.


Under-ripe bananas:

Green or partially green bananas cause constipation as they contain hard-to-digest fiber. So if you worry about constipation choose ripen bananas.


Bananas could contribute to constipation if you dont drink enough water so stay hydrated.


On the other hand, eating ripe bananas improves digestion due to pectin fiber.


Myth #2: Bananas are ‘Fattening’

Sure, if you eat a bunch of bananas you will gain weight but if you pick up one daily then you are at the safe side if you already have a well-balanced diet.


One medium banana only contains 105 calories. It also delivers 12 percent of your daily fiber, which helps you feel full and stay feeling full for longer.


In addition, bananas are good source of both resistant starch and fiber both are important for controlling blood sugar and preventing crush afer consumption.



Finally, you don’t need to worry about that occasional banana causing constipation or weight gain.
