Foods to eat:


It includes vegetables, lentils fruits and healthy fats along with whole grains.

Whole grains are used to make chapatis.


Dairy products like dahi and milk are widely consumed.


Fruits like mangos, apples, pomegranates, guavas, oranges and papaya among others.


Leafy green vegetables spinach are available all around the year, while fenugreek is available during the winters.


Bottle gourd and cucumbers are hyrating food in summer and used in weight loss plans.


Spices like coriander and turmeric are very healthy and help to fight diseases and infections and you need to add them to your food.


You must also include Ghee in your diet in small amounts.

Refined sugars, refined oils and dessers need to be avoided on Indian diet as they can sabotage your weight loss goals. You must also steer clear of trans fats like vanaspati, fast food and processed foods.
