Hypertension and DASH diet; the silent killer

Hypertension or what we call it high blood pressure is a chronic disease when blood pressure remains elevated in the arteries. It is diagnosed when systolic blood pressure exceeds 120 mmHg and diastolic exceeds 80 mmHg.
Symptoms:
People who suffer from high blood pressure may not have clear symptoms but they may feel headache and rapid heart rate
Causes:
Being a smoker, obese or following unhealthy diet like high salty food may put you at a high risk of having HBP. In addition to being old, alcohol consumer and having a lot of stress.
Side effects on your body:
Damage to arteries, heart, brain , kidney and eyes could resulted from HBP
DASH diet: Dietary approach to stop hypertension is a diet that was done to control hypertension, its low in sodium but high in magnesium ,potassium and calcium
What it includes:
About 5-6 serving of whole grains
4-5 servings of vegetables
4-5 servings of fruits
3-4 servings of lean meat
2-3 dairy products
2-3 servings of fat or oil ( healthy fat omega 3 and omega 6)
