3 Ways to Stop Eating so Much at Night

Well! We are on a well-balanced diet and we are on truck but suddenly we find ourselves in the evening going many trips to the refrigerator. Night-time eating is a struggle for many dieters as it packs a lot of calories and can sabotage the diet. Here are few tips to stop night eating.

Why Do I Eat so Much at Night?

We all love snacks after dinner and this seems normal. But what you need to know that snacks can pack a lot of calories and can sabotage your diet.

What is really important is to find why are you eating so much at night? Is it because there is no distraction from work? You may feel yourself relaxed and need to have some treats for your body so food is a common comfort. Try to find why you are eating at night and find a solution like reading journal instead, watching a movie or going for a walk. Drink plenty of water also.

How to Stop Eating After Dinner

The best way to curb your night-time eating behaviour for good is to use short-term strategies to break the habit. If you can replace snacking with a healthier habit, then you won't feel the urge to overeat in the evening. Use one of these tips (or all three) to change your night-time snack habit.

· Move away from the food. We are more likely to eat at night because food is readily available. So once you finish your dinner at your kitchen just leave it and move to another room. You can also walk for 15-20 minutes this can curb night time snacking and could provide your body with feeling of fullness and sharpen your mind.

· Use a "meal-ender" to curb your appetite. You can have a mint chewing gum after dinner so you will not have the desire to eat anything along with mint flavor. You can also brush your teeth this could give you the same effect of mint. You can also try using Meal-Enders. These small candies claim to "reset" your taste buds so that you don't feel the urge to eat. Meal-Enders contain no stimulants and are regulated as a food product, so they have to follow strict guidelines of the Food and Drug Administration unlike many diets and weight loss supplements.

· Be a smart television watcher. We lose control on our food intake especially when we are on the front of television. In order to create healthy eating habits, you can make your hands busy like making a craft or you can just control the portion of your snacks before watching your movie or series.

Dont forget that snacking is good for your diet but eating when you're not hungry is never a good plan. Learn to eat a healthy dinner and then create habits to stop eating so much at night. You'll reach your goal weight faster and keep your weight off for good.
