Introduction:

Sometimes, you find yourself busy and there is no time to prepare your healthy meal. Now, if this happens not often you can drive thru and choose "healthy" fast food if we can call it like this. What you just need is to pick up the right ingredients.

Yes, dont surprise as this become healthy nowadays as many chain restaurants expand their menu choices to include some healthy food due to the rise of diet and its essential!!

1. Look for Quality Ingredients

While you order your meal always look for options with veggies, brown rice and whole grains. You can find them easily. Choose basic dressing like tahini and lemon for example instead of mayyonaise and mustard.

2. Beware of the Health-Halo Effect

Most entrees are marketed as "healthy" and this will motivate consumers to add more side dishes, drinks and even sweets as they count their entrees as healthy but wait this does not mean that they are calorie-free. Even healthy choices can be loaded with a lot of calories.

3. Predetermine Your “Go-To” Menu Options

Before you go to eat your dinner just check the menu online in order to determine your meal before your going. This will make you more able to choose healthy meals.

4. Dont drink your calories

Latte, smoothies, sodas and chocolat milk contain alot of added sugar without even satisfying your hunger sensation. Several studies have shown that excess sugar in the diet contributes to increased risk of developing heart disease and diabetes, increased triglycerides, weight gain and malnutrition.

5. Cut High-Calorie Condiments

While you are choosing your meal try to skip cheese and high fat sauces and dressing. You can not imagine how many calories you can save at this meal!

6. Shake Off the Salt

Choose your dish with no more than 750 milligrams of salt. Most meals at fast food restaurant are loladed with salt, so choose wisely.

7. Downsize Your Meals

Always choose meals with no more than 500 calories and 20 grams of fat. This can be done by skipping large meals and choosing small meals.

8. Load Up on Veggies

Veggies are good source of fiber and they fill up your stomach. What you can do is to choose salad made with greens, veggies and quinoa. This is a good choice to add more grees to your meals.

9. Customize Your Order

Restaurants are flexible at their menu choices so you can make the order you want while you can add or remve any item you dont really like.
