Weight loss: Diet and workout plan according to your body type
Introduction:
The first step to lose weight is not diet, exercise or elimination some types of food while adding others. The very beginning step is to know your body and what is suitable for your body. Everyone has a subjective response to weight loss or weight gain and your body response in different way.
It is recognised that the human body can be categorised in either one of the following categories:
· Ectomorph: The body is lean and long, and the person faces difficulty in building muscle
· Endomorph: The body is big, has more body fat, is often pear-shaped and has a tendency to store body fat
· Mesomorph: The third body type is muscular and well-built, has a high metabolism and responsive muscle cells.
Once you have identified which of the three categories does your body fall in, here is how you can exercise, lose weight, and train your body.
Ectomorph body type
If you belong to this category, it means your body burns carbs and you have high metabolism that burns fat and this is good news. But the problem is lack of muscles so in order to build muscles you need to engage cardio and intensive workouts. Strength training like abs exercises, core exercises and similar ones should be your focus.
Endomorph body type
In this type of body people tend to store fat at the lower part of their bodies and this type of body is difficult to be managed through fitness and diet program so people need to focus on losing extra weight. People with this body type should indulge in low-to-medium intensity cardio workout like running, brisk walking, skipping, etc. People need to be careful about their eating pattern as they can store fat easily. They can benefit from low-carbs diet.
Mesomorph body type
In this body shape people tend to build muscle and don’t store fat so they have athlete-body shape. But if they don’t stick to healthy lifestyle and appropriate workout they can gain weight. Mesomorphs should train athletically – do sprints, jumps, etc. this helps to build their metabolism. They need to have healthy choices as unhealthy ones sure will result in weight gain!
