Boosting your energy is a key point to stay active and have a healthy living but today we will learn how to boost energy level.
1. Pace yourself. You need to stay active but first pace yourself by dividing tasks throughout of the day instead of doing them within 2 hours. Try to rest within meals.
2. Take a walk or a nap. If you have insomnia and you get difficulty while you are trying to sleep at night replace nap by getting more active and have a walk for 30 minutes daily. If you are not insomniac try nap for 20-30 min during the day.
3. Skip most supplements. You may have heard about energy-boosting or "anti-aging" supplements. There is no evidence they work.
o DHEA. There is no evidence that DHEA offers any real benefits, and the side effects remain a question mark.
o Iron. You only need supplement whenever you are deficient after you get the diagnosis after a blood test otherwise high doses of supplements are harmful for your body.
o B vitamins. They are needed for converting food into energy but overdose can over-charge your cells.
4. Fuel up wisely. Replace refined sugar with complex carbs to fuel you up and don’t forget to choose lean protein food along with healthy fat like nuts, avocado and live oil and always remember moderation is the key and never skip meals as this can slow down your metabolic rate.
