Adding probiotics can be via fermented food and dietary supplements, while the last is prescribed for a specific use and don't have same FDA oversight.
There no specific RDI for probiotics, but you may add as much as you can to your meals via fermented food.
Fermentation process work by feeding bacteria on lactose sugar and producing lactic acid which creates a suitable environment for omega-3 and B vitamins production in addition to the beneficial enzyme.
While other fermentation processes, transforming one type of food into another one. For examples, cucumber into pickles, milk into yogurt or cheese. Most but not all fermented food are probiotics
Taste and smell of fermented food are quite strong due to certain species of bacteria.
Most common fermented food: yogurt,saurekaut, pickles, cheese.
Yogurt is the most valuable probiotic while texture and flavor are pleasant.
Yogurt is easy to be added the diet, having it on breakfast meal with fruits and nuts is a great idea.
