Protein helps in satiety and weight loss but overconsumption lead to with bad breath, weight gain, constipation, diarrhoea, dehydration, calcium loss, kidney damage and even heart disease.
The idea is to eat the appropriate amount that suits your body needs and physical activity.
Bad Breath
High protein and low carbs lead to ketosis state and then weight loss. Bad breath can be due to ketones body.
If you experience this symptom simply wash your teeth and drink water.
Joint Pain
High protein diet that is rich in red meat and thus high level of uric acid increase crystals formation in the joint and increase risk of gout.

Carbs are easily digested and cause insulin spike after consumption while protein are more difficult to be digested. But if you overdo it, the gluconeogenesis process, which the body undertakes to break down protein, can cause fluctuations in your cortisol levels, making you feel fatigued.
