Green tea and health:
We all know that green tea has been used over the years for weight loss but the idea of how it works is written below and two mechanism exist:
The caffeine, though limited, is said to help burn fat and improve exercise performance, which could lead to added calorie burn.
The antioxidant EGCG found in green tea is known for its metabolism-boosting ability.
High caffeine intake has been linked to weight loss but when it comes to one cup of green tea; it only contains 40 mg of caffeine which is one third of the amount in one cup of coffee. You need also five cups of green tea to get enough EGCG to affect your metabolism.

Green tea may not be linked with fat burning effect but it is still better than sugary beverages as it is free of calories, fat, and sugar in addition it keeps food cravings at bay.
