Fruits to lower blood pressure

Bananas and citrus fruits have been linked with lower blood pressure effect as they are high in potassium.


Pomegranates have even higher levels of potassium than bananas.


High potassium level is even more important than reducing salt intake as potassium keeps balance between electrolytes.


Dr Susan Hedayati said that:

“The lower the potassium in the urine, hence the lower the potassium in the diet, the higher the blood pressure.


So the higher potassium level in the urine, the lower blood pressure.

Finally, consumption of potassium fruits and vegetables is important for lowering blood pressure.
