Can Food Affect Your Penis?

We know pills, pumps, and surgeries work for erectile dysfunction, but what about food? Are there things you can eat that can help with ED? There are reasons to think there may be, even if more evidence is needed to confirm the potential of the following foods.


Watermelon

It is refreshing fruit and it is rich in lycopene: an antioxidant that improves heart, prostate and skin. In addition it has similar effect to ED medications on relaxing blood vessels and then ensuring blood flow.


Oysters

They boost testosterone levels and they are rich in zinc so they improve sex drive. Make sure they are cooked properly.


Coffee

Two-three cups of coffee improve blood flow so be careful about your caffeine choices and prevent intake of sodas and other carbonated beverages.


Dark Chocolate

Chocolate is rich in flavanols, plant nutrients that can increase blood flow and lower blood pressure. It also helps your body make more of nitric oxide, which can help with erections and is in many ED medications.


Nuts

Walnuts contain arginine which makes nitric oxide. In addition nuts are good sources of vitamin E, folic acid and fiber. As nuts are high in calories you need to have only small handful.


Juice

Nutrients in Concord grape juice also increase the amount of nitric oxide in your body. You can have pomegranate juice instead if you don’t like it.


Garlic

It keeps arteries and blood vessels healthy and clean. So it prevents blood clotting that prevent blood flow.


Fish

They are good source of omeg-3 which boost nitric acid and then relax blood vessels. Aim for 8 ounces of salmon a week. Sardines, fresh albacore tuna, and mackerel are other good sources of omega-3s.


Greens

Kale is a nitric-oxide booster and greens are rich in nutrients and vitamins in addition to omega3-.


Peppers

Due to the heat they causes, they lower blood pressure and cholesterol. They increase blood flow to your organs including penis.


Olive Oil

Olive oil helps the body to make more testosterone, in addition it is rich in MUFA that lower bad cholesterol and it is a powerful source of anti-oxidant. Choose extra virgin oil.
