Oatmeal

Food with fibre are very important for healthy liver for example oatmeal which helps you to shed extra pounds thus protecting your liver from diseases.


Stay Away From Fatty Foods

High fatty food that are rich in saturated fatty acids are a worse choice for liver. High fatty food may make the work of liver hard and then with time it leads to inflammation and scarring know as cirrhosis. Try to make healthy choices.


Broccoli

Green leafy vegetables has been linked to an improved overall health including healthy liver. According to studies consumption of veggies lower risk of non-alcoholic liver disease.


Coffee

Drinking two-three cups of coffee protect liver against disease including liver cancer.


Ease Up on Sugar

Too much sugar will be converted into fat and with time this may lead to fatty liver disease.


Green Tea

Green tea is rich catechins a powerful antioxidant which responsible to protect against may diseases including liver cancer. To get more catechins you need to brew tea as cold tea has little amount.


Water

Drinking water is really important to improve overall health. In addition drinking water instead of sugary beverages and sodas save a lot of calories.


Almonds

Nuts, especially almonds are rich in vitamin E which protects against fatty liver disease and are heart-healthy. So enjoy snacking of nuts or add them to salad to enjoy crunchy taste.


Put a Cap on Salt

Your body need sodium to work properly but over consumption can lead to health effects. Early research suggests a diet high in sodium may lead to fibrosis, which is the first stage of liver scarring. So you need to cut back on table salt intake, in addition to processed food and canned veggies. Choose always fresh food.


Spinach

Leafy greens have a powerful antioxidant called glutathione, which can help keep your liver working right.


Blueberries

They contain polyphenols that protect against non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. If you don’t like blueberries choose plums or dark chocolate instead.


Be Moderate with Alcohol

Drinking too much alcohol can lead over time to cirrhosis. Occasional drinking like four drinks in one sitting for women and five for men can be harmful, too. Try to limit yourself to one drink a day if you're a woman or two a day if you're a man.


Herbs and Spices

Sprinkle on some oregano, sage, or rosemary as they are good source of polyphenols that protect against many disease. Another benefit is to lower salt intake!


Limit Packaged Snack Foods

The problem with snacks like chips and other that they contain a lot of sugar, salt and fat.


So next time you want to reach a snack try to reach healthy choice like apple or nuts instead of packaged food.
