Introduction:
Cold-induced diuresis is a process that makes you pee more when you are exposed to cold temperatures which make you prone to dehydration during winter that range from subtle to severe. But even modest drop in water level make symptoms.
Stay on top of your fluid intake this winter with these five hydrating hot beverages:
Green tea is rich in antioxidant and protects against cardiovascular disease, diabetes and some types of cancer. In addition it is helpful in improving brain function.
Turmeric and ginger fluid offers you with fluid, anti-inflammatory and anti-nausea properties.
Milk is almost 90% water and offers additional nutrients like calcium, high-quality protein, B-vitamins, potassium, phosphorus and vitamin D.
Water with lemon and honey is typically used to remedy a scratchy throat but also serves as a valuable source of hydration. To make it, simply combine boiling water with a couple of tablespoons of lemon juice. Lemon is rich in vitamin C, which supports the immune system, helps maintain skin integrity and fight free radical damage. A drizzle of honey is optional, but it acts as a natural sweetener.
Herbal teas like peppermint and chamomile are comforting, caffeine-free and full of water. Small studies suggest chamomile tea may be helpful for improving sleep quality and blood sugar control.
