Weight loss: The food you need to eat MORE of to lose weight

To start your weight loss journey you must choose heathy choices and know exactly what you choose to eat. While dieters encourage to cut back on some food we still encourage to add some nutrients.

Adding fiber to your diet not only help you to shed pounds but also it is beneficial for your health as it decrease risk of heart disease and strokes ,moreover it is good for diabetes.

Increasing your intake of fibre will reduce hunger pangs and encourage you to make healthier choices. Fibre is extremely filling as it is slow in digestion and as a result it has low glycaemic index so low spike in blood sugar. Fibre rich foods in a healthy balanced diet can also help you manage your weight.

Which foods contain fibre?

Bread

All breads, not just high-fibre breads such as wholemeal, 50:50 or seeded loaves but white bread as well, contain fibre.

Fruit

Choose whole fruit instead of sweetened food or juices. Add it as dessert or as snack. You can still enjoy your breakfast with oatmeal, nuts, yogurt and fruit. Don’t peel off your fruits as fiber amount will decrease.

Nuts

Unsalted nuts, seeds – such as chia seeds, sunflower seeds and poppy seeds – and dried fruits are all typically high in fibre and can boost your fibre intake when baking and snacking too.

Oats and some cereals

Choose a wholegrain cereal such as wheat biscuits or porridge, then top with seeds, chopped nuts and fresh fruit. Or enjoy toast topped with peanut butter and fruit such as banana.

Pulses

Lentils soup is a great source of both fiber and protein. Enjoy your hot bowl of soup.
