Are You Trying Hard To Lose Weight? Our Expert Nutritionist Suggests This Super Simple Trick to Lose Weight
We all know that skipping breakfast is not good especially in weight loss plan. This is due to the fact we are lazy in the morning and we just need to reach food to feel energized and powerful. Moreover breakfast should be a combination of carbs, protein, fat and fiber. You need to know that skipping breakfast will result in slow metabolism. Moreover dinner is another major part of your diet but the idea you need to keep it light as skipping dinner will result in a large gap between breakfast and dinner. Skipping your dinner could lead to ravenous hunger, acidity, nausea, blackouts and disturbed sleep.
For those who think skipping dinner can help in weight loss, this is not true.
Eating large meals that are heavy and rich in sugar and fat may lead to gastro-esophageal reflux and digestive problem. As digestion will find difficulty in getting rid of these greasy and heavy meals and the result will be weight gain. The result will be fatigue both mentally and physically the next day.
Why light meal? The answer is very easy because when digestion takes time after consumption of a heavy meals, the process will continue while sleeping and the result will be fat storage. You need to know exactly the portion size needed and the time you need to eat. For me as dietitian I recommend my patients to have their last meals 2-3 hours before meals.
Finally, the idea is to have small meals, light and at the right time to prevent weight gain, to fall asleep easily and to feel energized in the next morning! Examples of light meals could be:
chicken salad, vegetables soup or 2 brown toast with light cheese.
