Diabetes type 2 is a chronic disease when blood sugar remains high and it is due to insulin resistance.


Diabetes type 2 can be managed by appropriate diet and exercise. Weight loss is really important to lower blood sugar as visceral fat especially in the belly area increase risk of many chronic diseases.


Weight loss strategy for diabetic patients can be done through the following steps:

· Adding to your diet non-starchy vegetables

· Have adequate intake of fiber and citrus fruits

· Choose lean protein sources: tuna ,chicken breast or salmon

· Replace refined grains with whole

· Avoid high caloric food and fatty food

· Adding healthy fat but keep them into moderation
