1. You should have a bowel movement every day
It is common to have daily bowel movement. You are constipated when you have bowel movement less than three times per week. It becomes severe when you have less than one time per week.
2. It creates toxins
Constipation is not a disease so it is not common to absorb parasites if you get constipated. In addition, it is not common to get asthma, arthritis or colon cancer.
3. You just need more fibre
Add fibre gradually so your body can use them and don’t forget to drink plenty of water. If problem persist after increased fibre intake it is maybe due to medical conditions. Consult your doctor.
4. Swallowed gum can get stuck
Chewing gums in most times pass through and outside the body. Otherwise it stuck with indigestible materials and cause constipation.
5. Your vacation could be an issue
Travel may change your daily habits and routine. While you are travelling stay always active, drink plenty of water and increase intake of fruits and vegetables while you are limiting your alcohol consumption.

Drinking enough water help to soften the stools. You can drink plenty of water or increase fruits and vegetables. Limit intake of caffeine and alcohol as they increased risk of dehydration.

After eating large meal try to do exercise after one hour to give your body needed time for digestion. 10-15 minutes of walking is helpful. Intensive exercise is better.

It was known that caffeine help muscles to contract and improve bowel movement. But caffeine is diuretic and increase risk of dehydration.
14. Colon Cleansing Helps
Enemas and colon irrigation (high colonics) remove body waste. But they're not an effective way to prevent or cure constipation. Enemas can actually cause constipation for older people who get them regularly. Colonic irrigation, which is usually done by colonic hygienists or therapists, can damage the colon and lead to other problems. Talk to your doctor first.

Tell your doctor whenever you see blood in the stools as it can be serious. Bright red blood is usually from haemorrhoids or tears in the anal lining called fissures. Constipation and straining during bowel movements can cause it. Maroon or tarry black blood or clots often means bleeding is coming from higher in your digestive system. Get medical emergency ounce it happens.
