Foods you should never eat when you're constipated
When you are constipated the first thing to do is to avoid any food that make your case worse, moreover some food you need to eliminate them only in case of constipation while other they need complete elimination to prevent bouts of constipation.
Anything with white flour
White flour is a refined grain when fiber is removed from it. Fiber is essential for normal bowel movement. So to prevent constipation you need to eliminate bagels, pizza, cookies, donuts and pizza to ease constipation.
Processed Meats
Processed meats are hard on digestive system moreover they contain nitrates that may increase constipation. So you need to avoid bacon, bologna, hot dogs and sausage.
Fried Foods
They are just like red meat difficult to be digested and slow bowel movement thus cause constipation so you need to avoid barbecued ribs, French fries, fried chicken and Buffalo wings not only during constipation but maybe you need to cut back on them always.
Dairy Products
Some people report constipation after consumption of dairies and this is maybe due to lactose intolerance or other protein varieties. So while you are constipated you need to avoid cheese, ice cream, milk, sour cream and yogurt. But note that you need yogurt after constipation as it contains probiotics that are important for healthy gut.
If you suffer from chronic constipation, you may need to try elimination diet in which you avoid eating any dairy for a few weeks to see if this has any effect on your symptoms.
Red Meat
Experts suggest that you need to avoid red meat if you are constipated but the problem is on the type of red meat. Meat from conventionally raised, grain-fed cows, do appear to contain substances (proteins and unhealthy fats) that can contribute to constipation. So choose the meat that come from grass-fed pastured cows.
