Bloated stomach pain can be incredibly uncomfortable and painful, especially for those who seem to suffer from it regularly. If you find yourself battling stomach pain and bloating, try adding these two fruits to your diet to soothe symptoms.


Bloated stomach is mainly cause by problem in digesting some food and drinks. The idea comes from the gas trapped inside that stomach and make you feel bloated. If you know that food causing upset stomach try to avoid it and re-introduce later on when symptoms go. Other food helps in digestion due to their content of some nutrients.

Fruit can be particularly good for digestion as they have high fibre content. Fibre is really important is digestion process as it bulk up stools and make them soft and then easy to pass.

Honeydew melon

It is rich in potassium, magnesium and vitamin B6. In addition it is rich in fiber.

Potassium is a key mineral in maintaining fluid balance and reduce water retention.

Water retention make you feel bloated as the body hold on to prevent dehydration. Sometimes upon consumption of food high in salt water retention occur. Potassium reverse the negative effects of sodium and allow the body to flush excess water.

Melon is rich in water content so it prevents water retention and at the same time prevent dehydration.


Magnesium, meanwhile, helps turn food into energy in the body, while vitamin B6 allows the body to use and store energy from protein and carbohydrates in food.
